Nov. 15 – Belgreen High School FCCLA Car Show: All cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome. Proceeds go to the BHS FCCLA to support students going to the State Leadership Conference. The car show takes place in the high school parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with registration starting at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $20 with another $10 for each additional vehicle. There will be a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and awards.
Nov. 20 – Cottons for Christmas: The Franklin County Women’s Leadership Committee, a division of the ALFA Farmers Federation, is seeking donations of new adult socks for nursing home residents. Drop off your donations off at one of the following locations by Nov. 20 — Franklin County Extension Office, ALFA Russellville office and ALFA Red Bay office.
Nov. 30 –Red Bay Christmas Tree Lighting and Red Bay Christmas Open House: From 1 to 4:30 p.m. Horse and carriage rides will be available at Bay Tree Park. The tree lighting ceremony will take place at 5 p.m.
Dec. 1 – Red Bay Christmas Parade downtown: The City of Red Bay will hold its Christmas parade on Dec. 1 at 6 p.m.
Dec. 2 – Vina Christmas Parade: The Town of Vina will hold its Christmas parade on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m.
Dec. 4 – Every Light A Prayer for Peace at the Franklin County Courthouse: The Russellville Cultura Garden Club will hold its annual “Every Light a Prayer for Peace” on Dec. 4 at 4:15 p.m. outside the courthouse The Russellville Christmas tree, located diagonally across from the courthouse at the Byars Building, will be lit remotely at 5 p.m.
