Red Bay celebrates annual Founders Day

RED BAY – The annual Founders Day festival was held in Bay Tree Park over the weekend. It featured food, music, vendors, games and a car show. Contests included fried pie, photography, quilts and coloring. Train rides took place around the perimeter of the park.

Best Tasting

•First place — Denise Wright for her blueberry pie;

•Second place — Denise Wright for her applep ie;

•Third place (tie) — Tina Lawler for her apple and Deborah Townsend for her peach pie.

Deborah Townsend’s strawberry pie earned the Most Unusual award.

Denise Wright won Best in Show for her blueberry pie.
