Aug. 2 – Community Cookout: West Highland Baptist Church community cookout takes place Aug. 2 at 2 p.m. at 501 Westgate Drive, Russellville.
Aug. 9 – Annual Ladies Conference: Phil Campbell First Baptist Church will host its annual Ladies Conference on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Attendees are encouraged to bring a Bible and a salad to share for lunch. This years’ service project will support the Baptist Children’s Home in Decatur by collecting needed supplies. All are welcome.
Aug. 9 – Clothing Giveaway, Isbell Methodist Church: Isbell Methodist Church will host a clothing giveaway from Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
July 26 – Vina’s July Fest: The 34th annual July Fest in Vina kicks off at 10 a.m. and runs through 9 p.m., concluding with a fireworks show. Festivities include a car show from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendors, food, crafts, and music all day. Vendor booths (12×12) are available for $25. Aug. 29 – Fifth Friday:
Downtown Russellville presents its second Fifth Friday event from 6 to 9 p.m. Includes live music, food trucks, local vendors and family friendly fun.
Aug. 15-16 – Franklin County Watermelon Festival Sept. 27 – Red Bay Founder’s Fest, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Celebrate Red Bay’s heritage with a full day of family fun from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bay Tree Park. The festival features arts and crafts, live music, food vendors, sidewalk sales, door prizes, contests (fried pie, quilt, photo, coloring), a car-truck-motorcycletractor show, and museum tours. Prizes are awarded for largest family, youngest and oldest attendees, and longest distance traveled. Admission is free. Al-Anon
Al-Anon meets at 6 p.m. every Thursday at the First Baptist Church in downtown Russellville across from the Roxy Theatre.
American Legion
American Legion Post 64 regularly meets the second Thursday of every month at the North Highlands Church of Christ fellowship hall with the meal at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting at 7 p.m.
Alzheimer’s Support
