Grand jury charges 5 with drug trafficking
RUSSELLVILLE — A Franklin County grand jury has charged five people with various drugrelated charges, including drug trafficking, according to court records.
Johnathan O’Bryan Rose, 35, of Russellville and Dewayne Antonio Suggs, 38, of Russellville were arrested on April 20, 2024, and were both charged with drug trafficking (fentanyl). Both were found in possession of 130 pressed fentanyl pills.
Rose also is facing three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (cocaine, pregabalin and hydrocodone), while Suggs faces four counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (cocaine, pregabalin, hydrocodone and synthetic marijuana).
Both were booked into the Franklin County Jail. Rose was released on April 23, 2024, on a $20,000 bond, while Suggs was released on April 24, 2024, on a $20,000 bond.
Their arraignment hearings are scheduled for June 26.
Two Mississippi residents also face drug trafficking charges after they were arrested on Jan. 22.
James Daryl Smith, 39, of Prairie, Mississippi, has been charged by the grand jury with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (gabapentin), and one count each of drug trafficking (cocaine), chemical endangerment of a child, certain persons forbidden to carry a firearm, and unlawful possession of a firearm with an altered identification.
He was booked into the Franklin County Jail and released Feb. 20 on a $50,000 bond.
Stephanie Lynn Wofford, 37, of Houston, Mississippi, was charged with one count each of drug trafficking (cocaine) and chemical endangerment of a child. She also was booked into the Franklin County Jail and released on Feb. 20 on a $50,000 bond.
Their arraignment hearings are scheduled for June 26.
Gary Don Williams, 47, of Phil Campbell faces two grand jury indictments following his arrest on Jan. 23.
The first indictment charges him with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (buprenorphine and fentanyl), and one count each of drug trafficking (methamphetamines), second-degree receiving stolen property, certain persons forbidden to carry a firearm, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.
The second indictment charges him with one count of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
He was booked into the Franklin County Jail, where he remains on a $35,000 bond.
His arraignment is scheduled for June 26.
