Black Sox travel baseball team gets summer going with Kickoff Classic

The Black Sox travel baseball program got the 2021 summer season underway June 4 with games at Russellville, Florence and Lauderdale County high schools.

Players from Franklin County participated all weekend on teams in the Black Sox Kickoff Classic.

Included was the Black Sox 16U squad coached by Matt Spurgeon, which defeated Top Gun by a 20-2 final score on opening night at RHS.
