    The Russellville High School Annual Staff will sponsor the 39th annual Miss RHS Pageant March 5 at 7 p.m. in the RHS auditorium.

    The pageant offers an array of talent and beauty. Pageant coordinator Dr. AnnaKay Holland said the annual staff is very thankful the Russellville community has been very generous this year. Miss RHS 2021 will be awarded more than $1,800 in cash and prizes.

    This year’s award sponsors are Artistic Jewelry, Dr. Wayne and Mrs. Lela Ray, Kameo Salon, Joseph Romans Photography, Campbell Vision Center, Holly Nails, Maggie J’s Boutique, Lee Nails, 43 Grill, Ms. Nails, Salon St. Clair, Audrey’s Gifts and Décor, Russellville Nutrition, The Grind, Walmart, High Level Nutrition, American Health and Fitness, El Patron, The Ville Nutrition, Hello Gorgeous, Hangout Nutrition, Suzy’s Clothing, Calm Therapy Massage & Wellness, Frosty Inn, Cash and Kate Design, Joyous Adventures – Cassie Goodwin, Russellville Curves, The Mustard Seed Bakery and Andersyn Jack.

    Additionally, the contestant awarded Viewer’s Choice will be given Sheila Fajl earrings from Russellville Florist and Gifts.

    This year’s program sponsors are AFTT Studio, Morgan Chiropractic, CB&S Bank, Brian’s Auto Sales, Dr. Wayne and Mrs. Lela Ray, Ms. Susie Hovater Malone, Family Pharmacy, Cherry Tree Lane Bridal and Formal Boutique, Community Spirit Bank, EyeCare Professionals, Dr. and Mrs. Alan Sherrill, Wood Thompson Insurance, Valley State Bank, Russellville Water and Sewer Board, First Metro Bank, Russellville Electric, Alabama Central Credit Union, Russellville Nutrition, Place of Grace, K&S Outdoors, American Realty, MotorSports SuperStore, Mayor David Grissom, Hester Printing and Mrs. Marla Kerby. Special thanks to AFTT Studio for sponsoring the Contestant, Little Sister and Rising Star Doughnut Party.

    Miss Ellie Kerby, Miss RHS 2018, will be emceeing this year’s pageant. Miss Sydney Medley, Miss RHS 2020 and student at UNA, will also be assisting and performing.

    The contestants will be competing in judges’ interview, evening gown and talent.
    Escorts are Will Calhoun, Dawson Green, Jax Greenhill, Kage Malone, Christian Medina, Ian Miller, Tino Soto and Caden Watts.

    Holland is the coordinator of the pageant and annual staff sponsor, and Cindy Coan is the pageant director. Tickets have been pre-sold because of COVID-19 attendance regulations. Programs will be available for $5.

    “This event is one of the highlights of the year,” said Holland. “There will be lots of entertainment you will not want to miss.”

    Holland said the pageant is so excited to again have Rising Stars and Little Sisters this year. Each contestant in the pageant was asked to select two girls who are students in Russellville City Schools to assist in their performance.

    Rising Stars are girls in kindergarten through fifth grade. These little ladies will be on stage during the evening gown revue.

    The Little Sisters for the pageant are girls in grades sixth through eighth. They will be introducing themselves and the talent for their Big Sister during the talent portion of the pageant. It is hoped that these young ladies will use this opportunity to be in front of this audience and one day want to be contestants themselves in the Miss RHS pageant.
    “We are continuing to build traditions – something we are very good at doing at Russellville City Schools,” Holland said.

    Miss RHS Rising Stars are Brantley Benford, Kinsley Benford, Ava Bianco, Annalesa Bonds, Maci Reagan Boyd, Baylor Bradford, Layla Grace Cleveland, Tinley Cleveland, Bella Rae Entrekin, Brilynn Green, Ruby Gist Harbin, Lyza Shaw Herring, Hadley Kate Horton, Kennadie Keeton, Karlei Mitchell, Emme Odom, Mackie Drew Parker, Raylee Peden, Darby Pinkard, Kingzlee Poss, Lillain Grace Ritter, Alexa Nichole Trapp, Rita Maria Valesquez, Ivy Elizabeth Willis and Kaylee Wilson.

    Miss RHS Little Sisters are Josie Burcham, Morgan Calderon, Camden Elizabeth Carson, Ella Colagraoss, Dixie Dover, Cara Elliot, Harlee Shyanne Fisher, Emmy Green, Keyli Hargett, Addison Holcomb, Anna Kate Hood, Maci Cate Jackson, Chloe James, Anna-Kate Kennedy, Jemma Moore, Audrey Oliver, Lily Cate Pace, Halyee Elizabeth Patrick, Gracie Kate Pinkard, Avery McReynolds, Hailey Rogers, Raney Stone, Ansley Kathryn Willis, Ellie Willis and Sarah Kate Wilson.

    The proceeds from this event will benefit students by defraying their cost of the yearbook.

    Contestant 1
    Talent: Reciting of Dipendra Tamang
    Destiny is the daughter of Shane Elkins and Craig and Angela Bullion. She is a freshman and a member of the softball team. She is also a member of FCCLA and FBLA.

    Stella Claire Hill
    Contestant 2
    Talent: Jazz dance routine to “River Deep-Mountain High” by Celine Dion
    Stella is the daughter of Eric and Tara Hill. As a freshman, she is a member of the junior varsity cheerleading squad. She is a part of Christian Students United, FBLA and FCCLA. She is also a technique dance and tumbling instructor at Addie’s Flip, Tip, and Tap.

    Peyton Leigh Parrish
    Contestant 3
    Talent: Tap dance routine to “She’s a Lady” by Tom Jones
    Peyton is the daughter of Ralph and Suzanne Parrish. She is a freshman and a member of the varsity tennis team. She is also involved in Calvary Baptist Church’s youth group, Christian Students United, FBLA and Student Booster Club.

    Caylin Elizabeth Pinkard
    Contestant 4
    Talent: Acrobatic jazz routine to “Let it Whip”
    Caylin is the daughter of Josh and Tabetha Pinkard. As a freshman, she is a part of the RHS junior varsity cheerleading squad and track team. She also is a member of Christian Students United and FCCLA.

    Talent: Acrobatic jazz routine to “Hot Honey Rag”
    Chloe is the daughter of Chad Sheffield and Karri Cummings. She is a freshman and a member of the Junior Varsity Cheerleading squad. She is also a part of FBLA, Christian Students United and RHS Performing Arts.

    Talent: Vocal performance of “Colors of the Wind” cover by Tori Kelly
    Kaitlin is the daughter of Chris and Talia Speck. As a freshman, she is a member of the junior varsity cheerleading squad and tennis team. She also is a member of FBLA, Christian Students United and RHS Performing Arts.

    Annie Willis
    Contestant 7
    Talent: Dance routine to “Surfin’ USA”
    Annie is the daughter of Nick and Heather Willis. She is a freshman and a member of the junior varsity cheerleading squad. She also participates in Christian Students United Club.

    Bailey Bishop
    Contestant 8
    Talent: Baton twirling to “Say Hey”
    Bailey is the daughter of Michael and Jennifer Bishop. As a sophomore, she is an M100 majorette. She also is a member of Christian Students United, HOSA and the FBLA.

    Silvie Kaye Miller
    Contestant 9
    Talent: Hip-hop clogging routine to Michael Jackson remix
    Silvie is the daughter of Lee and Trisha Miller. She is a sophomore and a member of the RHS varsity cheerleading squad. Silvie is also involved in Annual Staff, Student Booster Club, Christian Students United and the Educator’s Rising Club.

    Ashlee Channing Moon
    Contestant 10
    Talent: Vocal performance of “Good Morning Baltimore” from “Hairspray: The Musical”
    Ashlee is the daughter of Chris and Monica Moon. As a sophomore, she is a member of the RHS Student Council, volleyball team and softball team. She also is in Student Booster Club and Christian Students United.

    Melanie Trejo
    Contestant 11
    Talent: Contemporary dance routine to “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran
    Melanie is the daughter of Susan Trejo. She is a sophomore at Russellville High School. She is a member of the RHS soccer team.

    Keslie Brook Allen
    Contestant 12
    Talent: Speed painting to “Jailhouse Rock” by Elvis Presley
    Keslie is the daughter of Michael and Heather Allen. She is a junior and a member of the junior varsity cheerleading squad. She is a member of Franklin County Junior Leadership Team, Mu Alpha Theta, Skills USA and the Cosmetology Club.

    Madeline Elizabeth Cooper
    Contestant 13
    Talent: Vocal performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from “The Wizard of Oz”
    Madeline is the daughter of Matt and Greta Cooper. She is a junior and vice president of the RHS Student Council. She is also a member of the Franklin County Junior Leadership program, RCS Youth Leadership Academy, varsity cheerleading squad and RHS Musical Theatre.

    Madyn Alexis Harris
    Contestant 14
    Talent: Vocal performance of “Not for the Life of Me” from “Thoroughly Modern Millie”
    Madyn is the daughter of Chad and Jessica Harris. She is a junior. She participates in RHS Musical Theatre, M100 color guard, local community theatre programs, FBC Hamilton Church Choir and FBC Hamilton Youth Group.

    Sophie Caroline Hill
    Contestant 15
    Talent: Musical theatre routine “Grease Mix” by Olivia Newton-John
    Sophie is the daughter of Eric and Tara Hill. As a junior, she participates in the RCS Youth Leadership Academy, varsity cheerleading squad and Career Technical Advisory Board. She is also the Alabama Skills USA High School state secretary and Cosmetology Club president.

    Camille Faith Lynn
    Contestant 16
    Talent: Vocal performance of “Rise Up” by Andra Day
    Camille is the daughter of Joshua and Chrissy Lynn. She is a junior and a member of the varsity volleyball team. She also participates in Franklin County Junior Leadership and her church youth band. She is also the Christian Students United vice president and a Ronald Reagan Student Ambassador.

    Tori Tiffin
    Contestant 17
    Talent: Dance and tumbling routine to “You Can’t Stop the Beat!” from “Hairspray: The Musical”
    Tori is the daughter of Jason Tiffin and Jennifer and Brian Pace. She is a junior and a member of the RHS varsity cheerleading squad. She also participates in the RHS Acapella Ensemble, Franklin County Junior Leadership, JV tennis team and Christian Students United.

    Shelby Allison Carson
    Contestant 18
    Talent: Tumbling routine to “Get Down on It” by Kool & The Gang
    Shelby is the daughter of Ken and Ken and Denese Carson. She is a senior. She is a member of the varsity cheer squad, Peer Helpers and the National Honor Society. She also serves as vice president in the Chemistry Club and Key Club.

    Abigail Dodson
    Contestant 19
    Talent: Saxophone solo, “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love” by Usher
    Abigail is the daughter of Scott and Amy Dodson. As a senior, she is a member of the Marching 100 Band, Christian Students United, the varsity soccer team, Mu Alpha Theta and the National Honor Society.

    Celia Echeverria
    Contestant 20
    Talent: Vocal performance of “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion
    Celia is the daughter of Aldo and Lisette Echeverria. She is a senior and a member of the Science Club, Tigerette Dance Line and Franklin County Junior Leadership. She is also the secretary of FCCLA and projects chairsperson of FBLA.

    MaKayla Lynn Gann
    Contestant 21
    Talent: Vocal performance of “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele
    MaKayla is the daughter of Jason Gann and Laura Gann. She is a member of the Marching 100 Band and concert band as a senior. She also is a member of FBLA, HOSA, Robotics/Rocketry and the Chemistry Club.

    Rosa Ena Maravilla
    Contestant 22
    Talent: Pan flute solo, “Crying She Left” by Kjarkas
    Rosa is the daughter of Emma Maravilla. As a senior, she is a member of Skills USA, National Technical Honor Society, Student Booster Club and FCCLA. She is also a band manager.

    Jodie Morrow
    Contestant 23
    Talent: Piano performance, “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman
    Jodie is the daughter of Michael and Johnna Morrow. She is a senior and is the front ensemble section leader and HOSA president. She is also a member of National Honor Society, Golden Tiger Bigs Program and Franklin County Junior Leadership Team.

    Brooke Putman
    Contestant 24
    Talent: Marimba solo, “Stars Wars” medley
    Brooke is the daughter of Alan and Judy Putman. She is a part of the Marching 100 Band as a senior. She also is a member of National Honor Society, Christian Students United, HOSA and Franklin County Junior Leadership.

    Lauren Mae Sturdivant
    Contestant 25
    Talent: Vocal performance of “That’s Life” by Frank Sinatra
    Lauren Mae is the daughter of Leslie and Kellie Sturdivant. As a senior, she is co-captain of the varsity cheerleading squad, co-editor of the RHS Tiger Track Yearbook and FBLA president. She is also a member of the RCS Youth Leadership Academy and ACT 30+ Club.
