New scholarship opens to seniors

When paying for college, the majority of students depend on financial aid and scholarships to help fund their education. This year, students from Franklin County have a chance to win a scholarship from A1 Auto Transport.

Students with at least a 3.0 grade point average are eligible to win anywhere from $250 to $1,000 for use at any accredited university. Students must submit a 1,000-word essay on a topic related to A1 Auto Transport.

Essays are due by March 10. Students will send their name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number and school to scholarships@a1autotransport.com.

Essays will be posted on the A1 Auto Transport website, and a committee will select the winners. Winners will receive an email notification, and the scholarship money will be sent to the financial office at this university.

Scholarships will not be renewed, but students may re-apply.
