Grand jury indicts 67

The following are the most recent indictments returned by the Franklin County Grand Jury:

  • Edward William Adams, 57, Semmes. Theft of property first degree.
  • Deborah Gail Batey, 51, Russellville. Unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
  • David Lee Bell, 39, Huntsville. Unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana second degree, domestic violence third degree, chemical endangerment of a minor, promoting prison contraband second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of any substance which impairs mental or physical faculties and driving while license is cancelled, suspended or revoked.
  • Brenner Matthew Benefield, 23, Phil Campbell. Unlawful possession of marijuana first degree.
  • Charlie Joe Britnell, 22, Phil Campbell. Unlawful possession of a controlled substance, certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm, unlawful possession of marijuana second degree, three counts of chemical endangerment of a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
  • Jeffery Heath Burks, 30, Red Bay. Possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana second degree.
  • Sharon Diana Burks, 56, Red Bay. Possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana second degree.
  • Eric Glenn Campbell, 48, Phil Campbell. Unlawful possession of a controlled substance, domestic violence third degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Jeffery Wade Campbell, 53, Phil Campbell. Sodomy first degree, domestic violence by strangulation or suffocation, discharging a firearm into an occupied building, unlawful imprisonment first degree, certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm and attempt to commit murder.
  • Pedro Castro Castro, 18, Russellville. Rape first degree, sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old and incest.
  • Henry Lee Christian III, 37, Russellville. Failure to register as a sex offender.

  • Dudley Chase Davis, 31, Phil Campbell. Unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer.

  • Domingo Delacruz, 35, Russellville. Rape first degree, sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old and incest.
