BHS Bulldogs pick up two volleyball wins

The ninth-ranked Belgreen Bulldogs volleyball team picked up a couple of wins last week.

The Bulldogs (12-7 overall and 2-0 in region) beat Covenant Christian 3-0 and East Lawrence 2-1. They lost to fourth-ranked Lindsey Lane 2-0.

Junior hitter Ansley Tate had 18 kills, four aces, five service points, six digs and one assist in a tri-match with East Lawrence and Lindsey Lane.

Sophomore hitter Emma Dempsey had 14 kills, one assist, one dig, three aces and two service points against Covenant Christian.

Junior hitter Katie Dempsey had nine kills, 12 digs, two aces, and seven service points against Covenant Christian.
