Russellville Reads: Check out RPL’s biography collection

Summer Reading 2018 is officially wrapped up, and now the library staff will take a bit of a breather. While the crafts and story times, ninja games and karaoke/dance parties have been great fun, it’s time to wind down and recover before school starts.

For the month of August, the library won’t host any programs but rather get caught up on those day-to-day tasks that take a backseat to fun in the summer. We have stacks and stacks of new books to add to the collection and several gently-used books to prep for the upcoming book sale.

If you didn’t get enough of our Libraries Rock! theme this summer, be sure to stop by and check out one of our new biographies. We have added books on several famous rock stars, and these books tend to be page turners!

Some of our featured bios include Slash, Eric Clapton, Corey Taylor, Stevie Nicks, Kurt Cobain, Jerry Garcia and many more.

Just a reminder, the library now offers eBooks and audio MP3s for your convenience.

If you don’t have a new library card, stop by 110 E. Lawrence St. and see us!

Don’t forget to check us out on our new website, www.russellvillepubliclibrary.com and on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.

Russellville Reads is a weekly column provided by Ashley Cummins, director of the Russellville Public Library.
