County participates in Spring Clean
Spring cleaning is a task taken up by many households across America, and thanks to Alabama’s Pals Against A Littered State, it has taken on a different meaning: community service.
PALS is a nonprofit organization that seeks to keep Alabama beautiful through different projects and programs, like its spring cleaning program, Don’t Drop it on Alabama. At the Franklin County Commission meeting March 19, commissioners decided through a quorum vote (commissioners Jason Miller and Chris Wallace were not present) that Franklin County will once again participate in Don’t Drop it on Alabama – or in this case, Don’t Drop it on Franklin County.
The Spring Clean initiative will take place statewide April 21-28.
Other actions taken at the commission meeting included:
- Approval of the resignation of Colton Hallmark from the solid waste department.
