The Phillips Bears scored their only two runs in the top of the first inning. From there it was all Belgreen, as the Bulldogs rolled off 18 runs, including an 11-run fourth inning, to put the game away. The Bulldogs went on to beat the Bears 18-2.

After Phillips got their two runs in the top of the first inning, Belgreen took the lead in the bottom half of the inning 3-2. Emmi Scott got the Bulldogs on the board first with a steal of home. Cortny Williams and Katie Dempsey scored on a pop fly single by Emma Dempsey.

The Belgreen Bulldogs scored eight runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull off a big come-from-behind win over their area rival Tharptown two weeks ago. Tharptown held an 8-4 lead going into the final inning of play before the Bulldogs’ scoring barrage began.

Belgreen got on the board first in the top of the second inning, scoring two runs on scores by Gracie and Emma Dempsey. Tharptown cut the Bulldogs’ lead in half, 2-1, in the bottom of the second inning, when Aly Vandiver singled in Ameliah Dawson.
