Mary Charlotte Webb Hammock
Mary Charlotte Webb Hammock, 72, passed away May 10 at her residence. She was born in Arkansas and worked at Warwicks for 17 years. She went back to school to become a nurse and worked at Hamilton and Russellville Hospitals. She loved serving on the Vina City Council and being involved in making decisions for the town.
Services were May 11 at 4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. B.J. Mills officiating. Burial was in Shottsville Cemetery, Vina.
Survivors are her husband, Walton Nichols, Vina; five children, Joey Hammock, David Hammock and wife Jennifer, Tula Scott and husband Joel, Melinda Shaffer and husband Scotty and Timothy Hammock; 17 grandchildren, Jennifer Hammock, Joey Hammock, Ethan Hammock, Tyler Hammock, Jake Nash, Josh Nash, Austin Nichols and wife Lynn, Gabriella Gaby, Allie Scott, Landon Scott, Michelle Peoples and huband Brad, Dillon Massey, Vallen Gardner, Jacob Peoples, Gabe Shaffer, Chelsea Shaffer and Ava Hammock; five great-grandchildren, Braydon Foster, Bryson Hammock, Brielle Peoples, Brinley Peoples and Ava Kayte Nichols; and one sister, Elizabeth Bottoms.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Webb and Ruth Meenes Webb; two brothers, Tom Baldwin and Richard Webb; and one sister, Betty Gibson.
Pallbearers were Jake Nash, Dillon Massey, Austin Nichols, Ethan Hammock, Tyler Hammock, Josh Nash and Gabe Shaffer.
Visitation was May 11, 2-4 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
