Paulette Davis Scott

Paulette Davis Scott, 78, passed away Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 at ECM Hospital, Florence. She was born in Dozier to Johnny Frank Davis and Mattie Sanders Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church.

Services were held Thursday, Jan. 21, at Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Lindsay and Bro. David Corum officiating and Friday, Jan. 22, at First Baptist Church, Dozier. Burial was in Kimbro Cemetery, Dozier.

Survivors are two sons, Ron Scott and wife, Pam Cabot, Ark. and Phillip Scott and wife, Rhonda, Red Bay; four grandchildren, Tyler Scott and wife, Courtney, Nathan Scott and wife, Katie, Caleb Scott and wife, Stephanie and Rachael Scott; eight great-grandchildren, Elijah, Isaac, Judah, Layla, Mason, Hadassah, Damian and Dakota; two sisters, Ruby Petty and husband, Billy Ray and Glenda Aughtman and husband, Hurbert; two brothers, Timmy Joe Davis and wife, Mary and Rhett Davis and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Tom Scott and her parents.

Pallbearers were Caleb Scott, Tyler Scott, Nathan Scott, Wade Barksdale, Marlin Saint, O’Neal Funderburk, Bobby Witherington, Bill Petty and Jeff Davis.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church, Red Bay, and she lay in state Friday, Jan. 22, at First Baptist Church, Dozier.
