Emogene Fergerson Mayfield

Emogene Fergerson Mayfield, age 86, Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 at ECM Hospital.

Emogene was a member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ and previously was a member of Newberg Church of Christ. She worked in the ASCS office in Russellville for many years. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling with her husband. She had a fondness for children, loving all her nieces & nephews very much.

The visitation was held Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 at Spry Memorial Chapel, the funeral followed in the chapel. Officiating was Gary Carter and Matt Miller.

Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her brother, Price Thurlo Fergerson and wife, Evelyn; sister, Willodean Sneed and husband, Jacky; sister-in-law, Jessie Fergerson King; and a host of nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Onynal E. Mayfield; parents, Samuel Price & Sarah Fergerson; sister & brother-in-law, Christine & Marley Counts; and brother, Angelo Fergerson.

The pallbearers were Todd Sneed, Colby Sneed, Stan Fergerson, Alan Fergerson, David Fergerson, and Leslie Fergerson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Brentwood Retirement Community, ECM Palliative Care, Elder Care, and to Dr. Danny McFall for the love and care of Emogene over the years.
