Gladys Porter

Gladys Porter, age 89, Russellville, passed away on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015 at Russellville Healthcare.

The visitation will be 1–3p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Bob Vandiver officiating. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Arthur Porter, Jr. and wife, Kathy, Cleveland, Ohio, Irvin Porter, Dayton, Tenn., Linda Adkins and husband, David Spruce Pine, Sharon Johnson, Spruce Pine, Dillard Porter and wife, Doris, Spruce Pine, Larry Porter and wife, Lori, Russellville; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Bessie Adkins, Ray Dempsey; and a host of nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Porter; daughter, Carolyn Porter; son, Paul David Porter; granddaughter, Christina Lynn Johnston; and parents, Russell & Ida Dempsey.

The pallbearers will Arthur Porter, III, Allen Porter, Michael Porter, Ricky Johnston, Anthony Hamblen, and Daniel McDill. The honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Porter and Dale Porter.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Russellville Healthcare for their wonderful love and care shown to our mother.
