Dennis Rosecrans

Sept. 4, 2015

A much loved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Dennis Rosecrans Sr., age 66, of Russellville, passed away at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital Sept. 4, 2015, after heart surgery complications. He was born Feb. 18, 1949, in Oberlin, Ohio. He was the youngest of six siblings.

He is survived and will be missed by his wife of 30 years, Patricia Rosecrans; sons, Brian McConeghy, Brandon Rosecrans and Dennis Rosecrans Jr.; daughters, Sunny Hughes and Christina Fisher; sisters, Carol Gillenwater and Betty Misko; his live-in grandson, Nathan Lowe, as well as 13 other grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Denny was a hard-working, loving man. He had an open door to all his children and sound advice for anyone in need. He had a love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica.

He worked for H.D. Lee for more than 20 years, serving as a supervisor and even union president for a time. When they closed their doors, he became a security guard at Securatas, until he retired at the age of 65.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, Sept. 12, at 1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence.
