Wildcats fall to Phillips

The Tharptown Wildcats lost to Phillips 54-10 Friday night. The Wildcats didn’t get on the board until late in the fourth quarter.

Phillips led Tharptown 22-0 in the first half. The Bears scored four more times in the third quarter to take a 46-0 lead into the final quarter of play.

Tharptown scored its ten points in the fourth quarter. The Wildcats’ Luis Macias connected on a 25-yard field goal. Senior quarterback Heath Hatton scored Tharptown’s touchdown on a 1-yard run with just over one minute left in the game.

The Wildcats will travel to Hackleburg Friday night.
