Dwight Johnson, 71, Red Bay, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Franklin County and worked in flooring installation for fifty years. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, a Shriner and a Mason and served in the National Guard.

Services were Thursday, August 13, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay. Bro. Chris Higginbottom officiated. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, Miss.

Survivors are his wife, JoAnn Johnson, Red Bay; one daughter, Lisa Holland and husband, Jamie, Knoxville, Tenn.; one son, Terry Johnson and wife, Beth, Hodges; six grandchildren, Austin Holland, Ashley Holland, Alexis Holland, Sawyer Johnson, Hannah Johnson and Clayton Johnson; two sisters, Mae Lovett and husband, Jack,  Hodges and Gennie Bolton and husband, H.B., Russellville; two brothers, Pete Johnson and  wife, Tommie Lou, Red Bay and Edward Johnson and wife, Linda, Russellville; sister-in-law, Earlene Johnson; mother-in-law, Virginia Higginbottom, Golden, Miss.; brother-in-law, Jimmy Higginbottom and wife, Jan and sister-in-law, Reggie Higginbottom and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jason Higginbottom, Jeffrey Higginbottom, Jeremy Higginbottom, Chandler Higginbottom, Stanley Johnson and Jim Edward Johnson.

Visitation was Wednesday, August 12 at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
