Russell Samuel Newell, 46, of Florence, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015, at ECM Hospital.

Mr. Newell lived most of his life in this area.  He was a member of Union Hill FCM Church and was employed at Lowe’s in Florence.

The funeral service will be Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, with burial in Union Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be Jerry Hester.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Survivors include his wife Cherice Newell; son Kirk Newell; parents, R.L. and LaRetha Newell; brother, Bobby Newell and wife, Linda; sister, Jennifer Bragwell; step-children, Brock Herndon, Haylee Herndon and Brody Herndon; nephews, Chris Newell and wife, Brandy, Jason Newell and wife, April, Kyle Bragwell and wife, Jamie, and Kameron Bragwell and wife, Leah; great-nephews, Kade and Fisher; great-nieces, Valerie and Kinley.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dylan Newell.
