Christine Phillips McWilliams, 96, Russellville, Alabama went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She lived her entire life in Franklin County and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Mt. Star Homemakers Club and was active in church and the community.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral service will be on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Fleming, Bro. Randy Taylor and Bro. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service at 10 a.m. with the funeral following at 11 a.m.
Survivors include children, Landon Eugene McWilliams and wife, Emily, Bobby Kenneth McWilliams and wife, Mary Nell, Norma Racine Baker and husband, Lloyd, Carolyn Marie Sockwell and husband, Edwin, Larry Warren McWilliams and wife, Diane, Sharon Lynn Hovater and husband, Jim; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Wiley Warren McWilliams; sisters and brothers, Annie Thompson and husband, William, Lena Gipson and husband, Charley, Myrtle Long and husband, J.W., Harbert Phillips and wife, Flossie and Homer Phillips.
