RHS student receives memorial scholarship
Hamilton Ministries announced the winners of the first Rev.
C. D. Hamilton Memorial Scholarship, one of whom attended Russellville High School.
Cedric Morris Freeman attended RHS and will be attending Northwest-Shoals
Community College and majoring in computer and information systems.
He was a member of the National Junior Honors Society, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, Drama Club, Library Media Book Lovers
Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions and the Shooting Guard/Center of the RHS Basketball Team.
Cedric and Brenda Freeman are his parents.
The other scholarship recipient is Christian Hamilton, Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, Tenn.
Hamilton Ministries is a community service program that is intended to reach middle school and high school students. Rev. C. D. Hamilton, a Reedtown High School Graduate, will be remembered for his community service and civil
rights work.
