Sherrill J. “Sherry” Overton Tackett

Sherrill J. “Sherry” Overton Tackett, 66, of Red Bay, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Russellville Hospital. She was born in Russellville and was an employee of Community Spirit Bank for over 25 years. She was a member of Vina First Baptist Church, Vina.

Services were Saturday, June 20 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay. Bro. Ray Kirk officiated. Burial was in Lindsey Cemetery in the Wigginton Community near Hackleburg.

Survivors are one son, Ryan Tackett and wife, Desirae of Fulton, Miss.; one grandson, Peyton Tackett,  of Fulton, Miss.; one brother, Kent Overton and wife Laura, of Michigan; sister-in-law, Gerelene Overton and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ardie Overton and Elois Stidham Overton and a brother, Jerry Overton.

Pallbearers were Jamie Overton, Peyton Tackett, Drew Payne, Kent Overton, Dylan Overton and Connor Overton.

Visitation was Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
