Phillip Dale Swindle, 57, died Sunday June 7, 2015 at ECM Hospital. He was born in Red Bay, to Buford and Evelyn Swindle. He was a retired police officer.
Services were Tuesday, June 9, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay with Bro. David O’Connell officiating. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Swindle of Red Bay; three children, Amanda Thompson and husband, Don, of Red Bay, Kristy Williams and husband, Lee, of Belmont and Stephen Poores and wife, Franny, of Amory; twelve grandchildren, Rebecca Lawrence and husband, Rodney, Beth Boykin and husband, Kody, Celeste Crenshaw, Matthew Thompson, Krishala Poores, Braden Williams, McKenzie Poores, Conner Thompson, Caden Poores, Micah Williams, Lakynn Poores and Addilyn Thompson; seven great-grandchildren, Madison Boykin, Keria Lawrence, Paitynn Boykin, Piper Lawrence, Cade Lawrence, Jaxon Boykin and Auriella Crenshaw; two brothers, Daryl Swindle and wife, Darise, and Mark Swindle and wife, Vicky; a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Deloris Swindle and one brother, Ernie Lee Swindle.
Visitation was Monday, June 8, 2015, and until service time Tuesday at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
