Jessie Jones Kent, age 91, passed away May 14, 2015.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 16, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville.  The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother James McCullar officiating.  Burial will be in Dempsey Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Kent; father, Moss Jones; mother, Nellie Jones; sister, Josie Thorne; and brother-in-law, Troy Thorne.

She is survived by her brother, Edward “Buck” Jones and wife, Christine; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Roger Jones, Billy C. Fuller, Jr., John Fuller, David Grissom, Eric Fuller and Cory Jones.

Jessie was a member of Littleville First Baptist Church.  She worked as a nurse for 34 years at Russellville Hospital.  She was known as “Aunt Jessie” to many.  Her strong will and loving heart will be missed.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Brentwood Retirement Community, Russellville Health Care and Hospice of North Alabama.
