Dorothy “Dot” Goree Freeman, age 81, of Russellville passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015.

The visitation will be from 1-3 pm, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Akins Funeral Home, followed by the 3pm funeral in the funeral chapel with Bro. Wade Wallace and Bro. Joe Lenox officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Garden.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. “Shorty” Freeman, her parents, Lehman Goree and Gertrude Goree Dorman, a grandson Lee Downey, 5 sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Freeman is survived by her children, Sherry Hulsey and husband, David, Debbie Downey and Husband, Roger, and Donald Freeman.   Grandchildren Greg Hulsey and wife, Tara, Brett (Kyle) Hulsey, Ashley Wallace and husband, Mark, Morgan Lawler and husband, Jared, Nathan Freeman and Kevin Freeman.  8 Great grandchildren, Ainsley, Haley, Tanner, Charles, and John Barett Hulsey, Brilee Lawler, Marshall and Asher Wallace. 2 special nieces, Linda Riley Valentine and Susie Beale Martin, a sister Ruth Riley and 2 very special friends Sue Nell and Kenneth Williams

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Gentiva Hospice, Russellville Hospital ER and ECM Palliative Care.
