Marcell Robert Petree, 84, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at his residence.  He was born in Franklin County, to Clarence and Rena Petree.  He retired from Champion International Paper and was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

Services were Monday, April 27, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Neil Rogers and Bro. Silas Oliver officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Site Cemetery.

Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Madeen Mitchell Petree of Red Bay; four daughters, Fredia Rice of Tuscumbia, Bonnie Gober and husband, L.T., of Red Bay, Sarah Terry and husband, Dan, and Shelia Woods and husband, Danny, all of Russellville; ten grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Durell Petree and one sister, Marvalee DeVaney.

Pallbearers were Paul Kirksey, Greg Gober, Michael Thorne, Bradley Bohannon, The Honorable Barry Moore and Jimmy Mitchell.

Visitation was Monday, April 27, 2015, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
