Phillip W. Ray, 70, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Itawamba County, Miss. and worked at Day-Brite Lighting for more than forty years. He served in the U.S. Army and attended Believers Baptist Church.

Services were held Wednesday, March 11, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay. Bro. Harold Ozbirn and Bro. Tommy King officiated. Burial was in Altar Baptist Church Cemetery, Tremont, Miss.

Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Joann Ray of Tremont, Miss. and three sisters, Pat Parrish and husband, Lorenzo of Tremont, Miss., Kim Farrar and husband, Mark of Fulton, Miss. and Vickie Cook and husband, Ron of Tremont, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Conwill, step-father, Orville Conwill and a brother, Russell Conwill.

Pallbearers were Tim Adair, James Leech, Randy Shotts, Deelane Earnest, Robert Patterson, James “Hugh” Ivy, Tim Parrish, Rusty Parrish, Phil Henson, Jimmy McKinney and Billy Joe Brown.

Visitation was Tuesday, March 10 at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
