James “Jim” Howard Hand

James “Jim” Howard Hand, 77, Vina, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015 at ECM Hospital.

He was a native of the Fox Trap community, but had lived in Vina for the past 15 years.

He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was retired from Muscle Shoals Minerals with 53 years of service.

The family received friends Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville.  Funeral service was in the funeral home chapel with Tim Griffin and Mike Haynes officiating.  Burial followed in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Survivors include, grandchildren, Nathan Bohannon and wife, Amber, Mindy Parker and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Kenzlee and Gadzden Bohannon, Kaygan Parker; brothers and sisters, Amon Hand and wife, Barbara, Roseline “Tot” Allen, Mary Alice Montgomery, Daniel Hand, Betty Logan and husband, Jerry, Douglas Hand and wife, Sherril.

Pallbearers were Nathan Bohannon, Jason Parker, Sherman Allen, Leslie Montgomery, Austin Montgomery and Mickey Montgomery.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Gail Hand; daughter, Kathy “Kitty Ann” Hand; sister, Nella Jean Allen; brothers-in-law, Junior Allen, Jack Montgomery, Jackie Allen.
