Homer Cecil James, 87 of Russellville passed away Feb. 18, 2015, at his residence.

He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Duncan Creek Baptist Church.  He was retired from Reynolds Metal Company and was a veteran.

The funeral was Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville with Waymon Fike and Danny Russell officiating.  Burial was in Duncan Creek Cemetery.  The family received friends prior to the service.

Survivors include Gerald James and wife, Marie, Barbara Fike and husband, Waymon, Judy McDougle and friend, Jeff Presley, Ricky James, all of Russellville; grandchildren, Brent Fike and wife, Judi, Eric Fike and wife, Meghan, Casey James, Greg James, Jennifer Boutwell, Hollie McDougle; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Brent Fike, Eric Fike, Casey James, Greg James, John Fike and Jeff Presley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Grace James; parents, Will and Willie James; son, Larry Wilson James; granddaughter, Jenice Wilson; brothers, Walter, Lester, Zollie, Curtis, Eston, Oneal; sisters, Irene Mistakovich and Inez King.

The family would like to give thanks to Southern Care Hospice and Betty Jackson for the care they gave to our loved one.
