Freddie Joe Hargett, II, of Rogersville passed away Wednesday at ECM Hospital in Florence following a sudden diagnosis of cancer. He was a member of Springfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church and an employee of Federal Mogul in Athens.
He is survived by his mother, Christine and husband, the late Larry Ritter of Rogersville; his father, Freddie Joe Hargett and wife, Kay, of Huntsville; and sister, Leah Logan and husband, Gene, of Tuscumbia. Also surviving is nephew, Avery Logan of Tuscumbia, stepsisters Leanna Jones, Deanna Simpson, and Jerri Killen of Lauderdale Co., and stepbrother Andrew Black of Georgia.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 6, from 5:00-8:00pm at Springfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Hwy. 101, Lauderdale Co.). Service will be Saturday, February 7, at 11:00am at the church. Interment will follow in Portertown Cemetery. Brother Kenny Morgan will officiate.
