Russellville’s Ashley Dunstan had a triple-double for the Lady Golden Tigers (10-9, 4-2) in a 43-36 win at home over the West Point Lady Warriors Friday night.

Dunstan had 28 points, 17 rebounds and 10 blocks in the area win.  She scored 19 of Russellville’s 21 points in the first half and shot 10-16 from the field in the game.

West Point started the night hot from three-point territory and was tied with Russellville at the end of the first quarter, 11-11.

Russellville’s defense, led by Aleshia Phillips who had 7 steals in the game, played well and held West Point to only two points in the second quarter and four in the fourth.

“We played hard and that’s the reason we won.  We played pretty good defense, especially in the last half,” Russellville head coach, James Bostick said after the victory.

Dunstan’s 28 points led all scorers in the game.  Russellville also got points from Peyton Hester (4), Abby Holcomb (3), Madison Hargett (2), Angela Woods (2), Aleshia Phillips (2) and Patricia Borden (2).
