Joyce Boyd Ashley, 78, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 at Southern Magnolia Estates, Golden, Miss.  She was born in the Halltown Community and worked for Wrangler for 33 years. She was a member of NewUnionMissionaryBaptistChurch, Vina.

Services were on Sunday, Dec. 21, at NewUnionMissionaryBaptistChurch with Bro. Greg Philamlee and Gerald Collum officiating. Burial was in HalltownCemetery, Vina.

Survivors are one son, Johnny Ashley and wife, Wilma, Red Bay; one daughter, Jeanie Ashley, Red Bay; one grandson, Glendon Ashley; four great-grandchildren, Chyenne Ashley, Duane Ashley, Glen Ashley and Tre Ashley; one sister, Willodean Hamm, Red Bay; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Ashley, her parents, Richard E. Boyd and Evie Lindley Boyd, one sister, Mavis Hagood and one brother, William Boyd.

Pallbearers were Randy Boyd, Jerry Hagood, Robbie Hall, Duane Hughes, Daryl Ivy and Anthony Watson.

Visitation was Saturday, Dec. 20, at NewUnionMissionaryBaptistChurch.
