Horace Hargett Green, age 80, Russellville, passed away on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014.  He was born Tuesday, Aug. 21, 1934 in Franklin County to Earl & Lorene Green.

He was a member of Alva Chapel Baptist Church in Mt. Star and attended New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Belgreen.

The visitation will be 11:00-1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel.  The service will be at 1:00 p.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel.  Speaking at the service will be Bro. Andy Cansler.  Burial will follow at Franklin Memory Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Malone Green; son, Mike Green; granddaughter, Tina Green McNutt; father, Earl Green; mother, Lorene Green; siblings, Ralph, Homer, Betty, J.C., Milton, Ted, Billy.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, David Green and wife, Deborah, Peggy Britnell and husband, Billy, Patsy Green Cornelison; special daughter-in-law, Connie Green; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 1 special blessing on the way; siblings; Terry Green, Mary Woodruff, Jo Ann Williams and a host of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be Roger Enchiff, John Darty, Tommy Sanders, Carl Bolton, Daniel Smith, and Russell Woodruff.  The honorary pallbearers will be Roney Murphy, Danny Black, Kenneth Craddock, and Harold Green.
