William Thomas “Tom” O’Neal Sr.
William Thomas “Tom” O’Neal Sr., 77, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Red Bay Hospital. He was born in Tishomingo County, Miss., and was a mechanic at a bus shop in Russellville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services were Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Ray Kirk officiating. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, Miss.
Survivors are his wife, Julia O’Neal, Red Bay; five children, Charnne O’Neal, Lakeland, Fla., Deborah Hicks, Red Bay, William T. O’Neal Jr. of Florida, Dewayne O’Neal, Russellville, and Robin O’Neal, Bowling Green, Fla.; seven grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Larry O’Neal, Belmont, Miss., Jimmy O’Neal of New York, Harold O’Neal, Iuka, Miss.; and one sister, Maggie Taylor, Marietta, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olon H. O’Neal and Jessie Mae Adams O’Neal; two brothers, J.B. and Emmett O’Neal, one sister, Mildred Bevers; and his stepmother, Inez O’Neal.
Visitation was Wednesday, July 30, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, and until service time on Thursday.
