William Earl “Sack” Pendergraph

William Earl “Sack” Pendergraph, 79, died Friday, August 1, 2014 at his residence.  He was born in Tishomingo County, Miss., to Thomas and Ethel Pendergraph.  He was a construction worker and was a member of Red Bay Holy Church of Christ.

Services were Sunday, August 3, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay with Bro. Dewayne Wells and Bro. Rex Riddle officiating.  Burial was in Berry Cemetery, Vina.

Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Eloise Pendergraph of Red Bay; his daughter, Tammy Rena Pendergraph and his son, David Ross Pendergraph both of Red Bay; one brother, Orville Leo Pendergraph of Red Bay; two sisters, Ethel Inez Sell of Belmont and Reba Reid of Red Bay; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Oliver Ray Pendergraph, James Thomas Pendergraph, Porter Pendergraph, James Earl Pendergraph; and one sister, Ruby Wedgeworth.

Pallbearers were Greg Vick, Roger Lucas, Terry Sparks, Pat Horn, Tony Kelton, Paul Mitchell and Corey Mimms.  Honorary pallbearers were Gerald Sparks, Z.L. Vick and David Barksdale.

Visitation was Saturday, August 2, and until service time Sunday at Deaton Funeral Home.
