Hoyt W. Daniel, 72, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at ECM Hospital, Florence. He was born Oct. 8, 1941 in Red Bay, and was retired from Sunshine Homes after 20 years. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Services were Thursday, June 19, at Harmony Baptist Church, Red Bay, with Bro. Silas Oliver officiating and special comments by Emile Creel. Burial was in Pleasant Site Cemetery, Red Bay.

Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Peggy Daniel, Red Bay; two daughters, Melissa Creel, Golden, Miss., and Michelle Creekmore and husband, Kevin, Madison; one sister, Peggy Inman and husband, Charles, Red Bay; four grandchildren, Emile Creel, Gage Creel, Anna Creekmore and Ben Creekmore; niece, Rachelle Graham and husband, Matthew; nephew, Chris Inman and wife, Cathy, and also a host of other aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mildred Daniel and a son-in-law, Ray Creel.

Pallbearers were Charles Inman, Matthew Graham, Chris Inman, Ben Creekmore, Kevin Creekmore and Gage Creel.

Visitation was Thursday, June 19, at Harmony Baptist Church.
