Laura Jane Emerson went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 9, 2014.
Laura was born and raised in Sulligent. She dedicated her life as a nurse to taking care of so many of the sick and providing support and care for their families. Her other passion in life was taking care of her animals and her precious corgi pups. Her most important role was taking care of her “Precious Jackson” and she was the world’s best “Memama”.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 6:00 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville. Officiating will be James Phillips. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
She is survived by husband, Larry Emerson; son, Bradley Wayne Emerson, Houston, Texas; daughters, Brianne Terry and Kristi Mann, both of Florence; sisters, Carolyn Pounders, Decatur, and Janina Cleveland, Colbert Heights; grandson, Jackson Emerson Terry; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Edna Christian.
