Royce Oneal Pounders, 81, Russellville, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Helen Keller Hospital.

Mr. Pounders served his country in the U.S. Army.

The visitation was Monday, May 5, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel.  The funeral followed in the chapel. Bro. Sammy Taylor officiated the service.   Burial was at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

He is survived by his children, Wyman Pounders and wife, Roxann, Janet Wright and husband, Keith, Tyra Oliver and husband, Jason, Angie Bailey and husband, Reece; grandchildren, Carrie DeArman, Cristy and Adam Singleton, Magen and Jaradda Sparks, Hunter, Tyler, and Sid Willis, Dylan Bailey, Lyndsie Bailey, Kim James, Houston James, Richie Landers; seven great-grandchildren; special cousin, Betty Jo Fisher; and host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gail James; parents, Marnie and Mary Pounders; and siblings, Edward Pounders, Dell Pounders, and Dorothy Evelyn Pounders.
