Charles David Peters, 61, Hackleburg, Alabama, passed away March 28, 2014, at Hospice Sanctuary House in Tupelo, Miss.

He was a native of Lawrence County but had lived in Hackleburg for the past several years. He was a log cutter for Flat Harber.

Visitation was Sunday, March 30, 2014, at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in the Wiley Branch Community. The funeral service followed with burial in the church cemetery.

Survivors include wife, Dianne Peters; daughters, Valerie Peters Weeks, Rachel Peters; son, Charles David Peters; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Louise Cason, Annie Peters, Mary, Linda Peters; brothers, Danny Wade and William Ruben Peters; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, William and Nettie Peters; brothers, Robert Bobby, Henry Peters; nephew, Brian Peters.
