L.J. Baggett, 67, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at ECM Hospital, Florence.

He was born June 19, 1946 in Alabama and was a truck driver for 42 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam.

Services were Friday, March 21, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Bill Burcham officiating. Burial was in Pilot Hill Cemetery, Vina.

Survivors are his wife, Karole Baggett, Vina; three children, Tonya Salazar and husband, Rick, of California, Justin Baggett and wife, Tara, of Tremont, Miss., and Sarah Baggett, of Winfield; and six grandchildren, Chaz, Kobe, Jason, Jesse, Lyvi and Landon.

Visitation was on Thursday, March 20, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, and until service time on Friday.
