Carl Medley, 72, Russellville, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 at Helen Keller Hospital.
The visitation was Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral was on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Bro. Boyd Woodall officiated the service. The burial was at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bernice Medley; children, Tammy Medley, Karla Lavonda Skinner, Wendy Mitchell and husband, Larry, Kirk Medley and wife, April; grandchildren, Janey Oliver and husband, Mark, Tara Hines and husband, John, Allison Presley and husband, Ray, Katie Medley, Tyler Skinner and wife, Lyndsey, Trevor Mitchell, Adam Mitchell, Grace Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Oliver, Emma Oliver, Anthony Hines and Morgan, Trahe Presley, Sarah Presley, Braden Presley, Algin Presley, Baby Kolten; brothers, Roy Medley, David Medley; sisters, Peggy Britnell, Patsy Green; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Parlie Medley; in-laws, Mattie and Eunice Batey; son, Carl Medley, Jr.; and several aunts and uncles.
The pallbearers will be Tyler Skinner, Trevor Mitchell, Adam Mitchell, John Hines, Ray Presley, James R. Ayers, Larry Mitchell, and Wade Ayers.
