Willodean Sutton
January 5, 2014
Willodean Sutton, 85, Phil Campbell, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 at Russellville Hospital.
Mrs. Sutton was a proud member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and would not miss church regardless of who dropped in to visit or what situation might arise. She loved doing volunteer work for Sunset Care in Hamilton and the senior citizens building in Phil Campbell. She taught all of her grandchildren their ABC’s and spent time reading to them. The family has found Mrs. Sutton’s diaries and realized she was even busier than they had realized. She had truly the servant’s heart; she loved waiting on her family.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Hines and husband, Ricky, Peggy Rikard, Carolyn Young and husband, Ricky; daughter-in-law, Janice Sutton; grandchildren, Jimmy E. Sutton, Jamie Sharp, Shane Holifield, Karen Rikard, Brittany Barratt; great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Tiffany, Jordan, Jenna, Mason, Alisha, Mia, Ella, and Alyssa; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sutton; son, Jimmy Sutton; parents, Jesse and Emily Heath; and all her brothers and sisters.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Miranda Decker; ICU nurses of Russellville Hospital; and the caregivers at Terrace Manor for your love and care of our mother.
