James Arthur Allen, 69, Russellville, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014, at his residence.
He lived his entire life in Franklin County and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Russellville.
He was a deacon for many years at Jonesboro Baptist Church.
He served in the National Guard for six years and was a trade school instructor where he taught auto body and frame work.
He was retired from Superior Alignment.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Jonesboro Baptist Church in Russellville.
The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with Daniel Welborn and Gerald Howard officiating.
Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Holden Allen, of Russellville; children, Doug Allen, of Florence, Susan Allen Britnell, of Russellville, Brian Allen, of Russellville; grandson, James David “Jamie” Britnell, of Spring Hill College in Mobile; granddaughter, Megan Britnell, of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Susie Allen; grandparents, Tom and Mary Catherine Allen; and an infant grandson.
