Jimmy Ray Hastings, 73, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Red Bay Hospital.
He was born Oct. 4, 1939, in Mississippi and was a forklift driver for American Motors.
Services were Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, Miss.
Survivors are four children, Patricia Hastings Hanzel, Kenosha, Wis., Terry Hastings, Roundlake, Ill., James Hastings, Beachpark, Ill., and Heather Hastings, Oakbrook, Ill.; two grandchildren, Amanda Hanzel and Bradley Hanzel; four sisters, Eva Turbyfill, Vina, Brenda Taylor, Kenosha, Wis., Dimple Faye Petree, Golden, Miss., and Glenda Mills, Zion, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Joseph Hastings and Wilma Alma Ballard Hastings and siblings, Ruple James and Willie Joe Northam.
Pallbearers were Terry Hastings, Brad Hanzel and Johnny Hargett.
