Lillie Mae Collum Hargett, 96, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at Red Bay Hospital.

She was born April 16, 1917, in Alabama and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Speedway Baptist Church, Memphis, Tenn. She was an avid gardener and loved watching things grow. She was a loving wife, mother and the best Nanny in the world.

Services were Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Jack Maroon officiating. Burial was in Lindsey Cemetery, Dennis, Miss.

Survivors are one daughter, Laverne Hargett Golden; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry G. Hargett, and her son, James G. Hargett.
