Mattie Elizabeth Maples passed away in Sidney, N.Y., on June 21, 2013, at the age of 91.

Funeral services were Friday, June 28, 2013, at New Hope Funeral Home with Carroll Sutton and Mike Johnson officiating. A committal service was held at Moon Cemetery, Owens Cross Roads.

She is survived by her husband, Charles G. Maples, to whom she was married in Owens Cross Roads, on Dec. 12, 1946; her daughter, Nancy Dibbell, of New Berlin, NY.; her son, Chuck Maples, of Sidney, NY; grandchildren, Kathryn Elizabeth Bailey, Daniel Bailey, Charles Bailey, Rachel Sharon Dibbell Ventura, Laura Kay Dibbell Brewer and Mattie Anne Dibbell;  two sons-in-law, Larry Bailey and David Dibbell and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Bailey; a sister, Altha Ikard and her parents, Grady and Mary Tabor.
