James Rayford Seahorn, 54, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Red Bay.

He was born April 20, 1958, in Alabama and was a salesperson for 30 years. He was a past member of the Red Bay City Council, a member of Pilot Hill Baptist Church and a Mason in Burleson Lodge #143 in Red Bay.

Graveside services were held Thursday, April 18, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Red Bay with Bro. A.H. Akins officiating. Burial was also in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Survivors are two children, Ryan Seahorn and Jordan Seahorn and wife, Melissa, all of Red Bay; one grandchild, Gunner Seahorn; his mother, Jeraldine Seahorn, of Red Bay; one brother, Keith Seahorn and wife, Sarah, of Red Bay; two sisters, Donna Malone and husband, Tim, of Glade Springs, Va. and Dianna McCollum and husband, David, of Lancaster, Ca.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Seahorn, a brother, Randy Seahorn, and a sister-in-law, Jo Ann Seahorn.

Pallbearers were Adam Seahorn, Brian Seahorn, Chris Seahorn, Ricky Donald, Kyle Palmer and Clint Holcombe.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
