George Harold Finley, 87, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Russellville Hospital.

Mr. Finley was a native of Lincoln, Nebraska, but had lived in this area for the past 30 years. He was a retired police officer with the Anaheim, California Police Department. He was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Phil Campbell Masonic Lodge #880, and will have a masonic funeral.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Officiating will be Tim Griffin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Survivors include wife, Flossie Finley; children, Don Finley and wife, Cynthia, Diane Dean and husband, Allen, all of Russellville; grandchildren, Sherri Newman, George Dean, Donavan Finley, Brian Finley and Ashly Hubbard; great-grandchildren, Danielle Hamby, Tiffany Dean, Heather Dean, Allen Kyle Dean, Maiya White and Kloee White.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Doris Finley.
