Graveside services for Gladys Daniels McAlister, of Russellville, were held at KP

Cemetery Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, with Rev. Clint Busler officiating.

Mrs. McAlister died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, in Russellville.

Gladys Daniels was born to William M. Daniels and Lula Caperton Daniels in Wayne

County, Tenn., June 1, 1919.  She married Leon McAlister on July 3, 1942, and for

67 years they made their home in Russellville.

She was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 5184 and faithful member of First United Methodist Church. Gladys loved finding, buying and selling antiques.

Mrs. McAlister is preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, Grady and

Earlon Daniels.

She is survived by special niece, Libby Daniels Wiser, and sister-in-law, Nell Daniels,

both of Hendersonville, Tenn.;  sisters-in-law, Cathline McAlister Hill and

husband Henry, of Brewton, and Mayme McAlister, of Russellville;  several

nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to acknowledge the special care provided by Dean Craddock, Kim Boyles and Judy Matthews, as well as the Country Cottage and Burns Nursing Home, all of Russellville.
